Three central considerations influenced the design of the Kinderhaus:

To design a compact unit that offers equally differentiated addresses for its various users and thus enables the children to identify naturally with their 'place'.
‍
A building that is oriented towards the natural space of the river, is spatially and visually linked to it and anchors the daycare center as a body in the wide landscape.
‍
An efficient and flexible building structure with high-quality interior spaces that allow for a diverse and open feeling of space in order to be able to react to new pedagogical concepts in the future.
